ISTEISTE has offered me an opportunity to learn more about integrating technology into my classroom. On top of that, I have been afforded the opportunity to share the things I do with others. I have been especially active in coding and computational thinking activities.
#AppleEDUChatOn Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM central, ADEs from around the country host a twitter chat for all teachers at #AppleEDUChat. The chat gives teachers a chance to learn new tips and tools from each other. It also gives all participants an opportunity to connect with other teachers who love to learn and be inspired.
Coppell High SchoolI learn from my co-teachers every day. This is my primary learning community. It is exciting to be around so many great teachers who love kids and love teaching.
Swift TeacherThe world of iOS app development in schools is growing. Due to the smaller size, it is important that we connect and offer support for each other. There is a podcast and Slack channel for teachers to connect and learn.
ASCDThe Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) offers me the opportunity to continue learning about the latest research and opportunities happening in education. As I have progressed in my career, I have been taking on more and more leadership roles. It is important that I learn more about that role.
ASEEThe American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) helps me stay on top of the needs and opportunities for my students in engineering. Colleges prepare students to be engineers. My job is to prepare them to be engineering students. To do that, I have to stay on top what is happening at the collegiate level.
